"""I am a painter, photographer, videographer, seminar leader, spiritual healer, and Washington native with a BA in Literature from the University of Washington, and a Master’s of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma campus (UWT) earned in 2007.
I started my art career in 1969 with pen and ink and watercolor drawings, gradually progressing to large watercolors. I enrolled in a year of art courses at BCC in 1990-91, concurrently with a year long lay ministry program. Going into ministry or pursuing an art career were both options.
In 1999, after a painting trip to France, I switched over to thick, impasto, knife-painted oils on canvas, and haven’t looked back. I often work outdoors, en plein air, or from my original photographs.
My work has been exhibited in New York City, and in juried shows around the United States. While attending UWT, I put exhibiting aside (except for New York) for a few years to work on my Thesis Project, a video titled “Seven Puget Sound Artists, Romance and Realities”, now at UWT library.
Now, with my Masters completed, I am pursuing my artistic vision in Tacoma, where I live. The spiritual, and the natural beauty of the Puget Sound area are daily inspirations to my artwork.""""
