Celebrated Canadian Artist John (Jack) Maxted has been associated with the art world all his life and has worked in almost every field including commercial, design, fine art, illustration and calligraphy. He has painted over 2000 pieces of art throughout his lifetime, covering over 20 countries, where he has visited & taken pictures, from which he preferred to sketch and paint. His paintings & prints have found themselves in art galleries, homes and private institutions throughout North America and Europe. Jack was greatly influenced by Canada's well-known Group of Seven and many Impressionist Artists, throughout the US, Canada and Europe. He continued to draw and paint up to 2 months before he passed away on 1 Oct 2018.
