Prior to establishing her own workshop, she honed her skills in the studio of the renowned innovator, Teodora Blanco Núñez, where she acquired expertise in the decorative pastillage technique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the early 1980s, in collaboration with her husband Alfredo Regino Ramírez, she started to experiment with a novel technique for producing brilliantly colored ceramics. Dolores devised a translucent white glaze that gave her pieces a nearly iridescent quality, using it as a backdrop for vibrant contrasting colors. She introduced decorative bas relief forms, including mermaids, faces, fish, cacti, flowers, and regional animals.
